The necessary queen cups did not come with this. I do not know why, because the queen cups are very inexpensive. So not only do you have to place another order (for queen cups), you have to figure out which queen cups actually work with this product.The seller could have easily thrown in 50 queen cups and just added 50 cents to the total cost of this product.The black holders have to be fastened to a wood cross bar of your cell frame in some way. No instructions are given to do this. I chose to use 4 thumb tacks at the corners for each holder. I evenly spaced 11 holders per each cross bar, with two cross bars on the cell frame. This leaves enough space for the cell cages to be put on later.I chose this product because it enables you to easily place the plastic cell cage over the queen cell (after it is capped over by the bees) to prevent an emerging virgin queen from destroying all the other queen cells.
