As most of the other reviews have stated, this is a really good deal. It'd be easy to pay twice as much for this level quality - but why would you?To be clear about quality: This definitely isn't "last forever, pass down to your heirs" kind of furniture, and the padded headboard is light enough for one person to lift (meaning, it's nice fabric wrapped around some foam padding and light wood) -- but the quality is very good. The construction is really sturdy, and the frame and mattress support are VERY solid - supporting our (cal king) mattress by the frame (four legs) and two metal bars running the length of the bed which each have three level-adjusting legs for support from the floor (for six more supports). Our old (expensive) bed frame only supported the mattress at four corners with one extra leg in the middle. This one gives us 10 legs supporting the mattress. There were no issues with fabric color: It was the same charcoal in the picture (slightly lighter than a medium grey).Lastly, assembly was a piece of cake. All you need is an allen wrench, which is supposed to be included in one of the boxes. I think I might have accidentally tossed the included one because I couldn't find it, but just used my own. The bolts, lock washers and flat washers all seem to be good quality (I've gotten cheap furniture kits before which included bolts that fail or strip - which was not an issue here). Took me about an hour, with most of that time tightening 24 allen bolts. There's no other fine assembly required, and the wood cross-members that support your mattress use solid plastic pieces that connect the wood planks together and then push into pre-drilled holes in the support bars and bed frame. So, we got ourselves a nice solid headboard and bed frame for our cal king, for less than $400, that only took an hour and an allen wrench to assemble. Not bad at all. This bed is really nice. Super sturdy, yet really light so it made carrying the parts upstairs to our bedroom so much nicer. It came together really well - although directions were stapled in the wrong order and we didn't catch it until later on, so we had to do a little backtracking. My husband and I put it together with really no problems. Probably took about an hour - and that's with having to backtrack. The feet are plastic which was a little disappointing, but it isn't noticeable at all once all is assembled. Overall it looks like good quality! The one concerning part was delivery - I got a call the day before to schedule it and it was the most bizarre conversation I think I have ever had. There was a significant lapse in the man's responses, and he ended the conversation with "you rock. Go Hawkeye's..." (This was after multiple other red flags throughout the conversation that maybe this wasn't an OK deal) and had me a little nervous to be here by myself to receive the package. ANYWAYS - the guy who delivered it was so pleasant and there were no problems whatsoever. So just a weird guy apparently scheduling deliveries! All in all, we are VERY happy with our purchase.I was really hesitant to buy this bed as it only had 14 reviews and the price seemed too good to be true BUT I am so glad I went for it. There was one bad review that said it was brown... it is a warmer grey but it is definitely not brown. It fits a CALI KING (longer and thinner) not a Eastern/Standard Kind (wider and shorter). I would buy it again!PROSGreat QualityVery SturdyNo Creaks or SqueaksGreat bed SlatsOverly protected boxes (which can also be a con as it took me like a hour just to open the boxes, so much saran wrap and bubble wrap!)CONSOverly protected boxes ... I am happy the bed was protected but DANG hardest thing I have opened in a while! Not complicated to put together, but it did take me 2 hours by my self. Maybe inlist someone to help you. After shopping around for few weeks I finally chose this bed for its style, but also how affordable it was. Other king size platform beds I saw of the same style were going for $800+ not including shipping, and at first I was a little hesitant to purchase because of the so few reviews and the lack of the Prime delivery, but I decided to take a chance and go for it. I ordered online Oct. 1st, and the bed was delivered on Oct. 11. Furniture Creations emailed with specific delivery instructions, make sure to read it through in case your package arrives damaged. Mine wasn't thank goodness, and from unboxing, checking for complete parts, and assembly, it took about 2.5 hours. With the memory foam mattress on it, it is very solid and comfortable sleep. I'm very happy with my purchase!I am SO impressed by this bed! The delivery guy who brought it told me he had 3 others in color Ivory being returned in his truck so that gave me all kind of weird feelings about this bed being cheap and of bad quality. But no. I say it's worth every penny! The color I got was in Charcoal and it reflects a bit of brown but I don't mind. Hubby put it togther in an house and even he said that it looks great for the price. Yay!Pros: Love the style and color, assembly was easy, shipping was fast! (Came 3 days after I ordered it). Slats that come with it are 100x better than ikea slats. They have rubber fittings so the slats are all individually locked into the frame and do not move or bang against eachother. Bed does not squeak or move.Cons: It doesn't seem to fit a queen mattress quiet right... There are gaps on the sides where you can see the slats... I Suppose tucking in a comforter or quilt like it shows in the picture would cover this, but it just seems odd that there is space around the edges. Also doesn't seem like the highest quality headboard, fairly flimsy, and not soft as it looks.
