UPDATE 12/24/16: We just received our 3rd purchased S-3000 bed frame for use in our daughter's room. The original delivery box arrived over a week ago and was destroyed by FedEx. The seller (skhlife) gave us outstanding customer service and immediately shipped out a replacement bed frame after receiving photos that showed the damage to the box and internal bed frame parts. Now I can highly recommend the seller as well as this bed frame.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE 11/18/16: We liked this bed frame so much that we have placed a 2nd order for this product! We might even purchase a 3rd unit. Doubt that I will ever purchase another box spring.FYI: I also purchased a bunch of Rubbermaid Commercial 14-Gallon Brute Storage Totes (FG9S3000 in White or Gray Color) to use for storage underneath these 16" tall bed frames. You can easily fit 4 totes on each side of the bed (5 would be a tight fit). Just FYI----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Great Platform (mine is Queen) Bed Frame! Highly recommended product!!!I first became familiar with this frame style while helping my step-son & daughter in law move into their new apartment.I bought this queen bed frame to use with my new Leesa mattress.I had to purchase/install 1/4" pegboard (see 2 attached review photos showing the pegboard) to keep the Leesa memory foam mattress warranty. Leesa requires a slat spacing gap of no more than 3". The slats for this frame are spaced 6-3/16" apart. I did contact the manufacturer and suggested that they offer a new model of this style platform bed with a slat spacing of 3" or less (as this would honor most, if not all, manufacturer mattress warranties. This is the only 16" Tall version that I was able to find (as of my date of purchase)You would be able to use storage containers that are less than 14" tall on hard surface floors (less for carpeting since the bed frame legs will sink into the carpet/padding).For storage containers to fit underneath the center rail slat support they would have to be less than 13" tall. This bed frame is quick and easy to assemble (with the included hex (allen) wrench). It takes me about 10-15 minutes to unbox and fully assemble. We like the rounded corners of this bed frame versus the other square cornered listings. The fully open sides/ends (no center support legs) allow for a wider variety of storage bins/arrangement. This bed frame doesn't move and has not made any noise.Measurements from Floor (See Attached Photos):Top of Bed Frame (All Sides): 16"Bottom of Bed Edge Rail Support Frame Members: 14"Top of Center Rail Support Frame Member: 14-1/4"Bottom of Center Rail Slat Support Frame Member: 13"Distance between slats: 6-3/16"Pros:Easy/Quick to assembly.Rock Solid (no movement or squeaks).Weight Rating: Over 2,000lbsRounded corner edges help to avert body injury ... and looks good too.Metal Slats (my preference)Allows most people (5'6" or taller) to sit on the edge of their mattress (depending on mattress thickness; mine is 10") and have their feet fully (flat footed) touching the floor.Cons: Similar to other bed frames of this style; the corner posts of these bed frames should be notched, thus allowing the corner of the mattress to drop behind the legs instead of sitting on top of it's inside corner (see attached photo). This is only a minor concern, but it would be a simple fix for the manufacturer.Of note: This is only a slight problem with my memory foam mattress. It hasn't caused any issue with the memory foam mattress or our sheets. My traditional inner spring mattress did not touch the inside edge of the corner support posts. I added another photo showing my inner spring mattress and the clearance between the corner of the bed frame and the corner of the inner spring mattress.Plenty of room for storage bins...Legs started to bend and destroying my floors.I purchased this frame after my old standard low profile frame (with box spring) broke. Thinking it'd be great to have all that storage space and no box spring to break under my weight. It looks pretty sleek, no corners to jam toes on and it's all steel (or is it?).Putting the bed together was fine, not the easiest but not difficult by any stretch. And one person can do it in decent time. After assembly a slight flaw stuck out to me immediately: there are 45° support struts on each leg to the sides of the frame, but only one per leg and only lengthwise on the sides and not widthwise (head and foot) too. These struts make it much sturdier from the foot of the frame to the head of the frame, but not at all from side to side. Which means as you get in and out of bed or adjust yourself and roll over the frame actually wobbles side to side. That is where the squeaking you've seen other reviewers mention is coming from, not the floor. So, it's a bit wobbly and the more one gets in and out of it the worse it gets, and it's not the bolts: I tightened them down over weeks and weeks to try to deal with the wobble to no avail. This wobble may not be as much of a problem for customers of more average weight.Unfortunately tonight my mattress with me on it fell through the frame when one of the cross rods (I'd say beams but they aren't beams really) had its little end cap pop out and caused the rod to slip out of the support groove on one side. Which then added stress to all of the other rods most of which failed in a similar fashion shortly after. It's not a terrible frame, there are just a few minor oversights that could make a world of difference to the structural stability.Unfortunately for me it looks like I'm going to have to buy a new frame.IF YOU WANT A NICE, TALL, BOX SPRINGLESS FRAME THAT WILL HOLD UP TO YOUR OLD MATTRESS FRAME SETS THAN THIS IS THE FRAME FOR YOU.I bought three popular box springless frames on amazon. I went by reviews and after receiving the frames, I knew they would not last someone 180lbs and up for more than a year at best. I wanted something attractive, something sturdy, and something that would hold up for the long haul. This frame does not fold up easily, like a lot of the frames on amazon, but that mid folding point is a actually one of the weakest spots for the bed. How can a bed that only weighs 20lbs and folds up nice and easily support you for years to come? This bed weighs 40lbs, like the old frame sets and has no weak spots. It doesn't creak, move, or wobble and it has braces for each of the four rounded legs. While reviews are limited and the price is a bit more than the competitors. Do you really want to be back here in another two years while filling up the neighborhood dump site?I researched a lot since frames are a pain to return, but I'm really happy with this one! As others have said, they're QUIET, which was the most important thing for me, besides sturdiness (which it is, too). Seriously, there's not a squeak from it, although I haven't been really harsh on it, I tried falling on it a couple of times, and so far it was quiet and sturdy.it's not hard to assemble, being able to pull it apart should be really helpful if you need to move out (another important thing, since I do all the moving when I have to move). Keep the instructions just in case, but it's a really simple assembly, it shouldn't matter if you lose it.I got the XL Twin size frame, but to be honest looking at how my mattress fits, a regular Twin size would have been fine too, it'd barely go over the frame, if at all. It's only a $10 difference either way.
