Wicked mini, the ribbons of cloth just kind've give that sence of mysticism that goes flawlessly with 'Elf'. Don't get me wrong, though it is titled as a dark elf.. let's be real... all elves are viewed as dainty...mystic...secretive and always lovely to behold.Love my Bone Dark Elf so much that I got the others by the same artist. At about 150 Reaper minis now and she was one of my first onesAbsolutely beautiful figureIt's not easy being a dark elf queen. Because the definition of a dark elf largely relies on the color of the sculpt's skin, you have to ask -- what makes a dark elf an elf besides a coat of dark paint? Werner Klocke does his best to make Sharwhatshername Nashunpronounceable look queen-like.Like most of Herr Klocke's sculpts, Shaeress isn't big on clothing that doesn't lift and separate. She wields a sacrificial dagger in one hand and a staff (topped by a magical crystal) in the other. Shaeress seems like less a queen and more like a priestess, but if you know anything about typical D&D drow culture this isn't necessarily uncommon. Less forgivable is her lack of queenly attire -- there's no crown, unless you count Shaeress' massive head of hair.Still, what Shaeress lacks in queen clothes she makes up with her imperious stance. Klocke nails the look of "I"M the queen!" She's just more high priestess than high royalty.A lot of detail. Looks great even unpainted.
