I tape-measured my belly just before writing this, and I currently have a 37 inch waistline. I was a size 6 (5'4'') before this pregnancy. I didn't expect this to fit perfectly (one sized fits all items rarely do), but it fits better than expected. I could see that if I were full term (I'm 24 weeks now) it would probably be too tight, so if you are far along you might end up having to wear this with your own pants (not a huge loss as the shirt and vest are the cool parts of this suit anyway.). The fake boot things on the ends of the pants just look silly, and I'm probably going to cut them off and wear my own boots. The hat arrived very squashed looking from being folded up in the package, but I was able to reshape it and I like the look now. I'm adding in some large hoop earrings, a rubber sword I got for a dollar at a thrift shop, and (as mentioned) my own boots because I already had a pair of brown healed boots that look better than the cloth shoe covers this costume comes with. If this baby decides to push my stomach out several more inches over the next four weeks (til my Halloween party) I may have to resort to using my own maternity pants, but the shirt is neat enough for the price that this won't be a huge let down.I was 8 months pregnant at Halloween...I wore this costume with no problems at all. It fit fine for me, although I was probably as big as the costume would accomodate (and I'm not one of those super skinny when pregnant types). The materials are a bit on the cheap side, but I expected that (most Halloween costumes under $100 are cheaply made). It was super cute tho, and held up well. The hat was actually the nicest part of the costume...the hat didn't feel cheap to me. The pants are super stretchy thru the waist and legs so there's lots of room if you need it. My husband bought the "Jack Sparrow" costume and my 3 year old wore a child's pirate costume and we went as a Pirate Family. It was cute and I'd do it again.Would not recommend for anyone who is beyond size 5 when pregnant. It is not made for bigger sizes.Fit as expected. Some threads coming loose and needed to be steamed after shipping, but overall 'ok'.I got lots of compliments on this costume. The fake shoe part is dumb, so I cut the bottom off and wore my own boots. Looked great. I added a hoop earring. I liked being a pregnant pirate. My wife was a size 4 to 6 before she got pregnant. She was 9 months pregnant on Halloween, baby came the next day, November 1st. She fit into this great, with room to spare.Whoever reviewed this and said it would not fit her, She was definitely carrying ALOT more than a baby. Great buy for an average pregnant woman who is not an overweight slob! The pants were a not hard to get up and on, they were a bit small for me, however I was able to make it work. Why I'm giving such a low rating is because I did not receive the hat with the costume, that was advertised.I honestly ordered this costume thinking it would not fit. All the reviews were from smaller women who were 6-7 months pregnant. I am 5' 7" 190lbs. and my belly is measuring 44" (around my hips and stomach). This costume fit me perfectly. Not too tight and just the right height. Not cheaply made. The maternity band on it is better material than the actual pants!
