DC Unlimited World of Warcraft Series 6 Forsaken Queen Sylvanas Windrunner 7-Inch Collectible Action Figure - Perfect for Gaming Displays, Fantasy Collections & Warcraft Fans

As others have stated in previous reviews, you really are getting what you paid for; to be more precise, if you paid only about $30 for it. I have collectible statues that are far more valuable, so I know personally what a high quality statue looks like. This is basically a plastic figure; though, having collected many plastic figures in my lifetime, I can say they did a decent job at it. They could have lazily slapped this together in a hurry, but you can tell they were trying to do a good job with what they had.Being a fan of the character, I had to have this in my collection and really lucked out at obtaining it for a low price a few years ago (2014) when I bought it. Do I think it is worth $225? I definitely would not have spent that kind of money on plastic figure, when I could have invested that much into a collectible that is better quality, with the potential of it going up in value several fold in a short time. This is a neat item to have if you are a fan of the character, but again, I don't care that much that I couldn't spend money on something that is of far better quality.If you absolutely most have Sylvanas in your collection, it is certainly your prerogative to spend that kind of money, but I would suggest really doing some searching on the web to find it at a lower price than what I see being offered here. I myself have saved a small fortune shopping around for collectibles online, I always seem to luck out and find that one place where something I am looking for is at a low price.As for the people claiming they got scammed, I really don't know what to tell you other than to pay close attention to who you are buying from. The reason I made the remark about plastic figures, is that it is common for them to be disfigured when you get them. In fact, it is rare that I ever buy plastic statues due to that fact, because they tend to not hold themselves up well over time. For that reason, I wouldn't take one out of it's original package. That being said, this one has stood up for three years on a shelf with no problems, while two other WoW characters who I had standing next to her eventually slumped over as the plastic around their ankles weakened.It looks pretty good for being essentially a glorified toy; but, I knew what I was expecting when I bought it, so no disappointments at all really.Ok I'm re-writing my review, because it would not be fair to the Vendor or The Product.First off yes, I did wait since may for an original june ship of this figure, through Amazon themselves, ad that is who DC Direct recommended.After months of Next month, and Were not sure delays they canceled my order saying they could not get a vendor for the product.So I do a web search and lo and behold a Vendor on Amazon has them in stock the same day my order was canceled.. I placed my Order last night, and it is packaged and ready to ship tomorrow.Hurray for Texastoysandcomics!!! It cost a bit more, but still better than most vendor pricing elsewhere for this item, and that's with the shipping.As for the figure itself, my neighbor has it already, so i have seen and handled it.I'll start with the whole world of warcraft line. If you're thinking toy or action figure your actually wrong on both parts.Nothing about the entire series of WoW figures by DC Direct qualifies them as action figures or toys. They are more like heavy plastic display pieces.The articulation on almost every one is minimal. A turning head, or wrist, really is not qualified as Action. They really are not posable at all.Also they tend to have a few brittle small appendages or weapons that make them not suitable for small kids.Now that is not a knock on the product, but the way they are classified and sold by DC Direct.. Vinyl statue would be a better title.As for this figure. If you have ever played the forsaken in WoW and loved her, or have a taste for dark but sexy characters, Sylvanas suits both well.Long lean and leggy, with a revealing outfit. In the left hand is her ranger's bow, while the other one goes up to reveal her face under the hood. Got to face itfor a dead girl shes very pretty.The only suggestion for both her and the Lich king figures would have been if DC direct could have lit the eyes.That said this is a very good likeness of Sylvanas in her current form in WoW. Shes had 2 other looks in the past, but this is the best one.Also something you can barely see in game is the awesome heeled boots she has on. Most times you cannot really see the spike heels, but here they got them on the money.A very good productI have to say that I only got into World of Warcraft about a month-an-a-half ago. Now, I have also tried playing WOW before (but decided I wasn't a fan of the dungeoning) and long before that I played the original Warcraft. I never thought I would become a fan of WOW, let alone play it again. That is until my fiance started playing it again himself and asked if I wanted to play.After playing it for a while I decided that my favorite main character was Slyvanas Windrunner (The Banshee Queen). I loved the story behind her tragic downfall and how she became the leader of the Forsaken. I know that most men buy her for other reasons, but I really love how elegant and dramatic she looks.[Critique]She is made out of a hard, sturdy plastic. Although a few pieces are delicate, so this is not a children's toy. Her arms can be slightly moved up or down, and nothing else can be posed. Therefore, it should only be displayed.I debated on keeping her in her box or taking her out... and have decided that it would be a lot better to take her out than to keep her in mint condition. Why? Well, I have also collected all the Assassin's Creed figurines and I can nicely view them from within their boxes. With Slyvanas you can only see her from her mid thigh up, and you couldn't fully appreciate the beauty of this figurine. I'm really glad I took her out.If you're still debating on getting this action figure I have to say that you won't be disappointed. The images above show exactly what she looks like. This will be a good contribution to any figurine/wow collection and I can definitely say that I will be purchasing more wow figurines in the future.First off I wouldn't really classify this as a toy even though Amazon seem to think it is =/But getting over that its a very highly detailed figure which comes in a sturdy collectors box, very well packaged and came in next to no time. I'm very pleased with the figure, it's very detailed and finely made.Die Figur an sich ist (aus der Ferne betrachtet) schon ok. Es ist die Verarbeitung an sich, die für _diesen_ Preis doch etwas zu wünschen übrig lässt. Zuallererst kam die Verpackung total verdellt bei mir an. (Nicht das Paket an sich, sondern die Verpackung um die Figur herum), so dass ein aufstellen mit Verpackung schonmal ausfiel. Ausgepackt musste ich feststellen, dass die Figur leicht wackelt. Ebenso hat sie auf dem blauen Bauch einen kleinen (aus der Ferne nicht sichtbaren) Fleck.Sie steht jetzt auf meinem Schreibtisch, aber ich habe mir wirklich mehr erwartet. Vor allem für das Geld, dass ich bezahlt habe.This is figure is a great piece, it is very detailed and the paint job is perfect, the bow is a little loose but doesn't affect the overall figure.Versand: 28. Juni bestellt , am 8.Juli eingetroffen.Verpackung: Ist mit etwas Folie umwickelt in einer Tüte angekommen. Folglich war die original Verpackung stark eingedrückt.Qualität: Erst bei sehr genauer Betrachtung fallen einem kleine Unsauberkeiten auf. Die Beine wirken etwas zu Lang und die Oberweite zu groß. Sie steht auch sehr stark nach hinten gelehnt was wenn man sie so stehen hat, das man sie auch von der Seite sehen kann, sehr komisch wirkt.Fazit: Für knapp 40 € ein schönes Stück und ihr Geld wert. Für Sammler die sehr hohe Ansprüche haben allein schon wegen der mangelhaften Verpackung nichts.
