Of course we find original factory fabric damage and attempted repair AFTER the return window has closed. We ALWAYS vote with our wallet and will never buy from this manufacturer again. While there is nothing that stands out as bad on the bedspread, other than the damage mentioned above, there is nothing that stands out as excellent either. It's a blessing that the damaged area is small and is in a spot that is not seen in normal use.It was very nice and soft however lint gets everywhere it sheds and gets on youReceived this item within a few days (have PRIME) - and it is beautiful....I did not wash it and put on the bed.....later decided would wash as precaution ....yes, there was lint but gradually after cleaning lint in dryer - it seemed to be gone.....it came out prettier than when it was sent --- the lint is typical of chennile in the event you are a first timer. The quality is five star -- it brightened the entire room - the Ivory color beautiful - so clean and fresh looking......the price excellent ..... to get such a beautiful spread at such a wonderful price - plus the shipping WAS IMMEDIATE thanks to Amazon and the Prime shipping.....Wrinkle free - easy wash - easy dry -- easy care.....keep in mind ALL CHENNILE sheds at first washing --- one this size in particular which is KING size of course, more lint....Have a similar spread in another bedroom, which shed first wash - but though it cost more, not nearly so pretty. Have had it for several years, and this particular bedspread I believe is much better quality and I am so pleased -- the AMAZON PRIME shipping - makes it all so easy to order. The shipping even in SUB ZERO WEATHER -- came through like the US Post Office USED TO SAY WITH PRIDE -- rain or hell fire - the mail must go through.Connie JThis is exactly what I was looking for ! ?I love this bedspread. It’s the perfect size to come to the floor over my king size bed and also covers the pillows, no need for shams! I got the ivory color. The pattern and the fact that the raised areas are “fluffy” instead of “bumpy” makes this feel a little more modern and less like a great grandma hand-me-down (love her, though!)This thing does make a lot of lint, as others have pointed out. I washed it and then ran it through several drying cycles, emptying the lint trap between. Each time I got a large handful! But it seems to have done the trick as I’m lying on it in my black leggings right now and very little if any lint is sticking to me. I’m using this over a lightweight duvet insert instead of a duvet cover. Previously we were using a large kantha quilt. I’d say this is comparable to that in warmth level, maybe a little warmer. I think I’d be too cold with just this and a sheet.I have a 16" gel mattress and sometimes have sizing issue. Not with this spread. Material is quality, It is worth the buy. Don't pass by and miss outThis is the perfect weight for a summer bedspread. It is extra long and wide, so no gaps between the end of the spread and the floor. I agree with other customers (so glad I read the reviews before hand!) DEFINITELY wash before using and when drying in your dryer, go down and empty your lint trap every 20 minutes or so - it took about 11/2 hours to dry and I had about a 4" thick wad of lint when all put together by the end of the drying cycle! I emptied the lint trap five times! Gave off lint onto my rug and dark clothes if placed on the bed for about three weeks - thus I took away one star - but otherwise I still LOVE it! I think it will be fine with a blanket added underneath in the winter too here in New England. Nice weightiness to it- even with my frequent nightly hot flashes!I love this bedspread. I read all the reviews about how much it "sheds", which were all quite true, particularly before the first few washings. It did leave a TON of lint in the dryer, and at least for the first two or three washings you would be wise to empty the lint screen a couple of times during drying. I have had mine almost a year and it has held up beautifully even with two dogs and a cat getting on it (I TRY to keep them off). I have a huge king size bed which is actually two antique twin beds put together, so it's extra wide and fairly high off the ground. Standard duvets have never worked because they barely cover the top of the mattress let alone covering its sides. This bedspread is very large and goes quite far down on the sides. It's the perfect size and exactly what I was looking for. I also bought two shams which are great as well. It now inspires me to make my bed every day, no matter what. This bedspread is exactly what I was looking for, thick cotton, thick chenille and looks elegant and way more expensive than what I paid. It also fits my king size bed perfectly, it goes all the way to the floor, I haven't found another one this wide. If you are looking for a great bedspread, this one is it, AMAZING!!!! You won't be disappointed, it also was delivered fast and well packaged, but I did notice that the price went up from 112.99 to 139.99 within a few days that I purchased it.This is exactly as shown & precisely what I needed. It was washed with extra spin time then tumble-dried to remove the loose fibers. Because of the way chenille is made, it will be slightly linty for a while but that is to be expected, given that the spread is thickly tufted. The design stands out beautifully and its heft makes it drape well. The ivory color is more a rich ecru which is fine because it will end up paling it out a bit after a few washings, I think. I ordered a King size for a double bed because I wanted it to puddle slightly and also be able to cover the pillows at the head of the bed. I had read comments on it being 'too thin'...of course the cotton base is thin because it is the backing for the tufting. Any heavier and the bedspread would not be manageable, both while making the bed and most especially in the washer and dryer. I sew for a living and can attest to this bedspread being a very good item and should last for years with minimal care. Of course, if pets with claws are allowed on the bed this will invariably cause damage as it would to any similar cover, so common sense applies. The delivery date was precise and the item was well-packaged.I am very satisfied with this bedspread! It fits perfectly, it is not heavy, it washes well and very easy to store in the closet. I chose white as the colour but as it is easy to launder, this makes it lightweight work. As a bedcover it is good for both winter and summer, light enough for summer and in winter I just put a light blanket on top. This is exactly what I was looking for, it has that retro look to it that reminds me of my mother’s bedding when I was a child. I have a Queen bed with a fairly high box spring and mattress, but I ordered a King size - it looks beautiful and it fits perfect, covers the whole bed - just barely touching the floor. I also love that it isn’t too heavy and bulky - which fits my washer and dryer perfectly. - I washed and dried it as soon as I took it out of the package which made it even softer. This creamy ivory bedding really compliments the paint colour I just did my bedroom in - Sherwin Williams Sea Salt. I also ordered the matching pillow shams which are the same.Betty-Lou GordonBeautiful bedspread; however, several areas throughout with holes and pulls in the fabric. This photo was right after unboxing. For the price, I would not expect it to have these imperfections.
