Love everything about this weighted blanket! I have restless legs and kick and flop them all night causing terrible sleep. Now I sleep like a baby! Perfect weight! Not too heavy, and I love that the cover can be taken off and washed.I wanted to love this but a weighted blanket isn’t for me. Other than my own dislike for the weight (I felt trapped) it is definitely cooler than my regular comforter and a great quality. I’d recommend it to anyone that wants a weighted blanket that looks like a beautiful comforter and sleeps cool bNot quite as cool as I was hoping, but still greatSent this to my Mom who has had trouble sleeping for years... she has been hesitant to use a weighted blanket because she thought it would get hot or be too heavy. She tried this and said not only did it not make her hot, but she was able to sleep soundly through the night. Victory!!!After trying out and returning two cheaper weighted blankets (from the same company), this weighted blanket is a keeper. I love the ultra plush minky cover, which it delivers on as it feels very comfy and warm, but not overly hot. The quality of the fabrics and construction are great, and there was no harsh or chemical smell at all coming out of the vacuum-sealed bag, so I was able to use it right away without washing it. The weight distribution overall was nice since I did feel a nice weight and heft over my entire body, unlike my previous blanket which had the majority of the glass beads on the edges of the whole blanket.However, my only gripe is that bunching still occurs within some of the sewn squares, where I definitely can feel and squeeze masses of the glass beads, but at least they’re not golf or tennis ball-sized. I think that no matter what blanket brand, there will always be some degree of bunching as these beads cannot be permanently fixed in place. Also, the inner blanket is quite loud when shuffling around, as if it’s made from a heavy plastic tarp, which was not an issue with my previous blanket.Overall, I recommend this blanket since it comes mostly as advertised and feels premium. It does feel evenly weighted and definitely made me fall asleep much faster.This is a quality blanket. Have the 18lb mink/bamboo version. I bought it for the softness on one side and coolness of the bamboo on the other. I get hot when I sleep and the bamboo side has been great. Beads are glass and have a but of poly fill mix into each little pocket so it doesn't feel lumpy and disperses the weight. The 18lb weight is avg for me at 165lbs, should be about 20% of body weight or its too heavy, but if you really like heavy then go bigger in weight. Mink side is really soft as well. The cover has a large hidden zipper that allows it to come off the blanket and has ties on it that slip through small loops in the blanket edge, keeping it in place securely. Before using I opened the zipper, turned it inside out, untied the ties and washed them by themselves as it is heavy but not too large for a standard washer. Gentle cycle wash, medium at max for dry. Did all that without in issues. Then did the reverse, laying the cover inside out, a simple one sided bow for each tie and turned it right side out via the zipper hole an voila! Slept like a baby. I work overnights so sleep is a premium and this is well worth the price. My friend has one at half the cost, no cover and is extremely jealous of this one after feeling it. Worth. Every. Penny. Hope this helps you!The description claims that this is "a blanket that prevents the beads from bunching within the pockets and the blanket from bunching within the cover" (quote is copied and pasted from the description). Neither of these claims is true. Quite the opposite actually. There was a whole lot of bunching going on. Since this was one of the reasons I got this one I decided to return it and had to pay $57.00 to ship it back!!! I'm on the west coast, so it may be less if you are closer. I'm pretty angry about the false advertising and that I lost so much money on this transaction. Bottom line: I would definitely recommend passing on this product and company. This blanket is definitely not worth the price. If you're okay with the bunching issue, you may as well buy one of the many much cheaper ones out there because the fabric was not great either..Update:I was contacted by the seller and they offered to pay for the return shipping and replace the blanket since they said it was defective. Based on this I would change my bottom line to: Go ahead and give this blanket a try because the company backs their claims with good customer service.I’m blown away. Night one with this blanket and I slept for TEN HOURS and only woke up because my dog decided it was time to lick my face!! I ALWAYS wake up in a pool of sweat, but this blanket is SO breathable. It provides the amount of warmth you want, but doesn’t build and build until you’re forced to kick it off, get cold, pull it back, wake up sweaty, kick it off...I was only in the market for cooling, but after taking the “internet deep dive” where you consider all options, price points and brands, I kept coming back to this one. I was skeptical about how I’d react to the weight but the psychological benefit is undeniable. I thought it would be cumbersome but instead it provides a sense of comfort so I’m not tossing and turning trying to find the right position. It’s just the cherry on top of a blanket that doesn’t cook me alive and looks luxurious. I will NEVER buy another blanket that isn’t made from natural fiber.
